Not so squeaky clean at the car wash

A caller reported not wanting to return the vehicle keys to an impaired man at a car wash in the 18900 block of Beach Boulevard at 11:20 a.m. Sunday.

The caller requested an officer check the 40-year-old man, because he didn’t feel right about returning the keys. The caller said he believed the man was under the influence of something.

The caller reported the man left at first, but then returned and demanded his keys, saying the caller had no right to keep them. Officers found the man to be heavily medicated and with a suspended license.
