Local art gallery to open

A new art gallery is slated to open later this month in Newport Beach.

Brett Rubbico Gallery, 361 Old Newport Blvd., will celebrate with an opening reception from 6 to 11 p.m. Nov. 21. A painting will be raffled at 10 p.m. Entries will be available for $20 per ticket; bring a business card to use as a ticket.

The gallery will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and by appointment.
