Fundraiser set for learning programs

The Newport Harbor Educational Foundation will hold a fundraiser to benefit educational programs at the school, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. It will include a first look at the newly rebuilt Robins Hall and Loats Performing Arts Center.

Tickets to the event are $40 each. Former faculty members John McGinnis and Jim Newkirk will speak about the buildings’ art collection and mural mosaics on docent-led tours.

The tour will include the new clock tower building, library, state-of-the-art theater and science classrooms, cafeteria, Heritage Hall museum, counseling offices, historical art collection and 1927 mural mosaics.

Normally inaccessible areas will be open for inspection, organizers said.
