HUNTINGTON BEACH — Katey Thompson had nine ace serves and no errors as the visiting Sailors rallied for a 20-15, 25-13, 25-12, 25-9 Sunset League triumph Thursday.

Thompson added 12 kills and four blocks, while Cinnamon Sary had 27 assists.

Kirby Burnham (15 kills and eight digs) and Kelly Heenan (14 digs and five aces) also chipped in for the winners (17-3, 4-0 in league).

NEWPORT BEACH — Blake Kelly scored three goals and Farrel South added two to key the host Sailors in the nonleague contest Thursday.

Lauren Draganza (41), Morgan Moody (42) and Lindsey Hanna (42) also scored for the winners (16-0, 8-0 in league).

COSTA MESA — Junior Ashley Peters shot four-over-par 39 to lead the host Eagles in the Golden West League match Thursday at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club.

Sophomore Blake Bakkila swept, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 singles and the No. 2 doubles tandem of Alex Aiello and Riley Mathies won 18 of 23 games for the winners (9-3, 4-0 in league).
