NMSC Waves BU10 beat Slammers

The tide was high Saturday morning (October 10) at Newport Coast Elementary, as the B10 Newport Mesa Soccer Club’s Waves soaked the Slammers 3 to 1.
NMSC’s speedy forwards (Chase Munger, Jesse Camano, Lucas Roland, and Nathan Neglia) were too much to handle. Defensively, the Waves stingy back line consisting of Evan Osterberg, Nicholas Gilbert, Michael Morsey, and Josh Kim, only allowed one shot to trickle in.
The Waves field general and goalkeeper John Olmstead, was only tested a few times, but his highlight reel saves were inspirational. Payton Jefferson, Will Klein, and Parker Cohn, were key in holding the ball in the attacking zone not allowing any scoring chances.
The NMSC B10 Waves, coached by Craig Harrington, are currently in second place in the Coast Soccer League and have set their sights on capturing first.
