A Balboa Island woman reported Thursday that her home had been ransacked by someone who sneaked in through a kitchen window, according to police reports.

A north-facing kitchen window had been pried open to gain entry to the home in the 200 block of Ruby Avenue.

The suspect apparently left the home through the front door after combing through the victim’s belongings, according to a police report.

The victim returned home in the early-morning hours of Thursday to find her home ransacked, according to the report. The woman told police there didn’t appear to be anything missing from her home.

West 18th Street: A commercial burglary was reported in the 700 block at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday.

Weelo Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 700 block at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday.

Iowa Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 3200 block at 8:03 a.m. Wednesday.

Corsica Place: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 1600 block at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday.

New Hampshire Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 1700 block at 5:52 a.m. Wednesday.

Adams Avenue: A stolen vehicle was reported in the 1300 block at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday.

Fairview Road: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2700 block at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Bristol Street: Vandalism was reported in the 3200 block at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday.

West Coast Highway: A suspicious person was reported in the 700 block at 12:17 p.m. Thursday.

Bay Shore Drive: Medical aid was requested in the 2400 block at 9:31 a.m. Thursday.

Canal Street: A municipal code violation was reported in the 400 block at 6:59 p.m. Thursday.

Irvine Avenue: A disturbance was reported in the 1100 block at 3:04 p.m. Thursday.

Bayview Way and Jamboree Road: A traffic collision with no injuries was reported at 1:29 p.m. Thursday.

Birch Street: An attempted vehicle burglary was reported in the 3800 block at 11:44 a.m. Thursday.

San Joaquin Hills Road and San Miguel Drive: A traffic collision with injuries was reported at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

East Newport Center Drive: Vehicle theft was reported in the 100 block at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Eastbluff Drive: A disturbance was reported in the 2100 block at 9:34 p.m. Thursday.

Shoreridge: A traffic collision with no injuries was reported in the 100 block at 10:43 a.m. Thursday.

East Coast Highway and Newport Coast Drive: A suspicious person was reported at 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

Jasmine Avenue and Ocean Boulevard: A dead animal was reported at 4:21 p.m. Thursday.
