Riding club to hold its annual gala

The Back Bay Therapeutic Riding Club will host its second annual Harnessing Hope Gala fundraising event Saturday in Newport Beach.
The Oktoberfest-themed event will feature live music, dancing, authentic German food and live and silent auctions.
The riding club gives children and adults with disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy to autism a chance to go on therapeutic horseback rides.
The gala is 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Village Crean, 2300 Mesa Drive.
