City seeks ideas for upping traffic safety
Newport Beach is looking for residents to volunteer for a new city task force on cycling safety.
Cyclists, city officials and other community members on the task force will make recommendations for improving traffic safety in Newport.
The task force is slated to finish its work by March. The deadline for applying as a task force volunteer is 4 p.m. Oct. 16.
