The police broke up a possible fight in downtown Huntington Beach and arrested a Pomona man involved in the foray Thursday afternoon.
Delbert Steel, 41, was arrested for an outstanding marijuana warrant as police rounded up suspects involved in a potential fight, according the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Police were called after several men were arguing and preparing to fight at 2 p.m. on Sixth Street. A large crowd gathered around the men, and one caller claimed one of the men had a knife.
Some of the men fled when police arrived, but additional officers helped find everyone involved. No one was hurt and the police didn’t find a knife on anyone. Steel was the only one arrested for his outstanding warrant.
