Tournament
HUNTINGTON BEACH — Corona del Mar High, the No. 2 seed in Division I, won twice in its pool at Huntington Beach Friday.
The Sea Kings defeated Newberry Park, 25-15, 25-16, and El Toro, 25-19, 25-6.
Morgan Boukhater had eight kills and four aces against Newberry Park, while Madie Smith had 24 assists, Katelyn Baker added four digs and Claire Ham registered two solo blocks.
Smith recorded 26 assists against El Toro. Hailey Senske had nine kills and Sydney Brombal contributed six aces and eight digs.
Brombal produced 16 straight service points in the second set.
CdM needs to beat Mater Dei this morning to win its pool.
The Sea Kings have secured a spot in the 16-team playoffs.
The championship match is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. at Edison.

NEWPORT BEACH — Newport Harbor defeated Tesoro, 25-8, 25-15, then topped Palos Verdes, 25-23, 25-15, to open pool play Friday at Newport Harbor High.
Kelly Heenan had seven digs and five ace serves against Tesoro, then fired off seven aces against Palos Verdes.
Senior Kirby Burnham had nine kills and five digs against Palos Verdes.
Newport Harbor, the No. 4 seed in the tournament’s Division I, rounds out pool play today against Vista Murrieta, before advancing to the 16-team Division I playoffs, beginning at 11 a.m. at Edison.
Tri-Cities Tournament
POMONA — Estancia posted a pair of wins at Ganesha High Friday to earn a berth in today’s 4:30 p.m. title match.
The Eagles (5-1) defeated Crescenta Valley, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16, then handled Gabrielino, 25-13, 25-21, 26-24.
Junior Lily McLendon had 36 kills and six aces combined.
Seniors Amanda Watson (48 digs) and Shona Lamb (64 assists) also stood out for Estancia.

San Clemente Invitational
SAN CLEMENTE — Morgan Moody and Lauren Draganza both shot seven-over-par 80 to help Newport Harbor High finish seventh, with a team score of 410 at San Clemente Golf Course Friday.
Lindsey Hanna (81), Casey Jones (84) and Charlotte Skjonsby (85) also scored for the Sailors.

CORONA DEL MAR — Chase Watson had seven goals and Max Bergeson added five for the Sea Kings in the nonleague home contest Friday.
Evan Ramsey had two assists and two steals, while CdM goalies Bruce Bearer (nine saves) and Isle Anderson (seven saves) anchored the defense for the winners (2-0), ranked No. 5 in CIF Southern Section Division I.
Western Tournament
ANAHEIM — Estancia High split a pair of games in pool play Friday at Western High.
Junior Charlie Umansky had four goals in a 10-7 win over Hoover of Fresno. He led the Eagles with two goals in a 10-3 loss to Torrance.
Junior goalie Conner Graham had 14 saves in the win.
The Eagles continue pool play today at 10:30 a.m. at Savanna High.
