State seeks local input on 405
Residents are invited to learn about the future improvements to the 405 Freeway and share their thoughts at a public meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting by the California Department of Transportation and the Orange County Transportation Authority will discuss the proposed alternatives for improvements from the Corona Del Mar Freeway to the San Gabriel Freeway.
The Department of Transportation is considering adding additional lanes in each direction, adding a toll lane and improving different interchanges.
More than 300,000 cars travel on the 405 each day, and the number is expected to increase 20% by 2030.
Residents’ input will be used in the draft Environmental Impact Report for the project.
The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huntington Beach Public Library. Residents can also e-mail the California Department of Transportation with comments at [email protected]
