Felony charges were filed Monday against two Indiana State University students involved in an Aug. 30 brawl that left a student who transferred from a Costa Mesa college with a broken jaw.
Joshua Crawford, an upperclassman and a member of the university’s men’s basketball team, also may have lost one or more teeth in the fight between two groups, said William Mercier, the chief of the university’s police department.
Another young man, who was not an ISU student, was also injured in the fight, Mercier said.
The two alleged assailants were charged Monday in a Vigo County court with reckless endangerment causing serious injury, a Class-D felony in Indiana, the campus police chief said.
A local newspaper, the Tribune-Star, identified them as Loren Clawson and Casey Maxie.
