The seventh annual Reds, Whites & Greens Charity Golf Classic at SeaCliff Country Club netted $162,721 for the Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, bringing the seven-year total raised to $885,000.
This year’s event featured an on-course, around-the-world wine tasting, taking players to Australia, France, Italy, Argentina, Spain and California. LPGA members Stephanie Louden, Kim Hall and Irene Cho were on hand during the day providing beat-the-pro opportunities.
After golf, players and dinner guests enjoyed silent and live auctions featuring trips, golf merchandise and more than 250 bottles of fine wine.
The event’s founder, Cindy Thomsen, is an avid golfer, wine enthusiast and two-time breast cancer survivor, and decided to combine her passions for golf and wine in the fight against breast cancer.
