Police Files:

Caught doing something that’s usually reserved for kids half their age, two state firefighters were arrested last week when police said they were caught pushing someone’s moped down the street at 2:30 in the morning.

According to police, David Semple, 29, of Newport Beach, and Dennis Day II, 30, of Yucaipa, both firefighters for the California Department of Forestry & Fire, pushed someone’s moped down a city street and ripped of the license plate and its frame and threw it in the street along the way.

Both were arrested and freed on $500 bail. Police said it appeared the men had drinking before the incident.
