Miles misses cut at PGA Championship

Huntington Beach resident Mike Miles missed the cut at the 91st PGA Championship, held at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.

Miles, a club professional at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, shot a 153 — nine over-par — in the first two rounds. He started off promising with an even-par 72 on the first day. The round, which included three birdies and three bogies, left him tied for 28th.

But Miles then shot an 81 on Friday. That round included bogies on five of the first six holes, and a double-bogey on No. 4.
