George Demos (Huntington Harbour resident and USC HB Alumni Club president) and his family participated in the Senior Olympics on June 6 at Caltech in Pasadena. George competed in eight track-and-field events, winning gold medals in most events. George has been competing in track and field since high school, college and the U.S. Army, and continues to compete on a regular basis in the Senior Games. His grandson, Shaun Beideman, (right) also ran in the grandparent-grandchild 100-meter race and also won a medal. George’s daughter, Jill Beideman (left), participated and completed the famous Camp Pendleton Marine Base Mud Run, a very difficult 10K obstacle course race.
