Downtown Image committee to meet Monday

The Huntington Beach Downtown Image Ad Hoc Committee will hold its next meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Huntington Beach Art Center, 538 Main St. The City Council formed the committee to improve the environment of the downtown area on weekends, evenings and holidays.

Council members Joe Carchio, Devin Dwyer and Don Hansen conduct the meetings for the committee, which is comprised of appointed members of the public, including residents and downtown business owners.

There are five subcommittees that review and make recommendations, including Nightlife, Business Attraction, Public Safety, Maintenance and Cultural.

The subcommittees will present recommendations to the committee for consideration.

The meeting is open to the public and any interested individuals are welcome to attend and participate.

The committee is normally scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. the last Monday of each month at varying locations.
