‘Crackers’ pet rescues halted due to demand

Gina Kantzabedian of Animal Crackers Pet Rescue has received an overwhelming response to the article “Rescues Endangered” [Coastline Pilot, May 22] and says she is unable to take in any more rescues.

“I am very appreciative of those who reached out and wanted to help,” Kantzabedian said. “Unfortunately, I don’t have the space for all of these pets.”

With her pet supply store in danger of closing its doors, Kantzabedian also worries that her rescue efforts will be diminished. Kantzabedian is looking for “foster parents” who are willing to house pets temporarily.

“It won’t cost anything to foster the animals,” she said. “We’ll supply everything they need.” Volunteer dog-walkers are also welcome. Animal Crackers’ store proceeds are used to benefit the rescued animals. For more information, call Kantzabedian at (949) 499-1988.
