Irene Weiler
Irene Weiler, 87, of Newport Beach, CA, loving mother
and grandmother, passed away May 20, 2009 at home. She
was born November 12, 1921 in Fort Jones, CA to Clifton
and Mercetes Reynolds. She married Durand E. Weiler on
August 18, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA.
Irene is survived by one son, Durand Evan “Randy” Weiler
(Kim)and their two boys, Evan and Brennen, of Caldwell,
ID; three daughters, Durene (Dan) Hanson and their son
Alec (Erica) and daughter, Kristin, of Newport Beach, CA,
Patrice Pritchard (Dan) and their two sons, Dane and Luke,
of Sycamore, Il, and Leslie (George) Johnson and their two
daughters, Courtney and Mackenzie, of Tualatin, OR.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her brother,
Jim, and her husband, Ed. She is survived by two sisters,
Helen Taylor and Clara Reynolds, both of northern CA.
She also leaves nieces and nephews.
Irene was raised in Fort Jones, CA where she was Class
Valedictorian and earned the American Legion Award. She
flew as a flight attendant for TWA.
Irene kept herself extremely busy raising her four children.
When she had time she enjoyed knitting, and playing golf
and bridge. When her children were grown she spent more
time with her friends and the hobbies she loved.
She also leaves behind many dear friends--in Santa Barbara,
CA, Sycamore, IL, Sun City West, AZ, Palm Desert, CA,
and Newport Beach, CA where she made her homes the
last 50 years--all of whom she thought and spoke of often, as
they added much to her long life..
