College names 2009 visionaries at gala

Fountain Valley-based Coastline Community College will hold its 11th annual Visionary of the Year Award Gala on May 30 in Costa Mesa.
It will honor locals who have proven themselves as outstanding leaders by demonstrating a commitment to improving the lives of the local community by contributing to educational and social causes.
The 2009 Visionaries are Meher Tabatabai, the chief of staff and doctor of infectious diseases at Promise Hospital; Robert V. “Bobby†McDonald, the president and executive director of the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce; Wanda M. Austin, president and chief executive of the Aerospace Corporation; Steve Jugan, brand manager for the Hansen Beverage Company; and Fereshteh Tavakoli, co-founder and executive chair of the International Society for Children with Cancer
