This isn’t Mom’s wallpaper
Costa Mesa-based Rinekwall’s wallpaper creations are photographs transformed onto wallpaper that make unique artistic statements — streaming colorful wires, multiple peacock feather eyes, tiered bamboo and clustered red-feather roses are just a few of its designs.
And now artists John Rinek and Dana Agamalian, who founded the Orange County-based business, offer their designs in Duraprene, an environmentally responsible wallcovering.
Duraprene contains 6% post-consumer recycled wood pulp, 24% post-industrial recycled wood pulp and 30% Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood pulp from sustainable forests.
Rinekwall specializes in high-end residential and commercial installations, and the collection grows daily with artistic and technical discoveries.

Nails never been happier
Eco-friendly nail care products are hard to come by, but I found SpaRitual nail products, carried at the Spa at the Resort at Pelican Hill.
They’re available in the spa’s nail salon and its Spa Boutique. The incredible long-lasting polish contains vegan ingredients and is free from harmful additives like synthetic dyes, toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate.
Even its nail polish remover is non-acetone with a blend of Italian-red mandarin-essential oil and sugar-derived solvents that gently remove lacquer while conditioning nails. The cuticle conditioner’s anti-oxidant formula is enriched with avocado oil and vitamins A and E; the scent comes from aromatic extracts of ginger and Fuji apple. The Resort is at Pelican Hill, 22701 Pelican Hill Road South, Newport Coast. Call (949) 467-6800 or go to www.pelicanhill.com/#/?page=spa.
