Funeral services set for former mayor

Funeral services for former Costa Mesa Mayor Dominic Raciti are scheduled for May 23 at the Masonic Lodge in Newport Beach, across from Newport Harbor High School.

Raciti, who served two terms on the City Council, died early this month at a Laguna Hills nursing home. Aside from owning a downtown jewelry store, the affable Italian immigrant was a lifelong Mason and a member of the Lions Club.

Family and friends are invited to the services, which begin 2 p.m at 1401 E. 15th St. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Raciti is survived by his younger sister Vicki Raciti Johnson; his son Robert Raciti; daughter-in-law Carolyn Raciti; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
