OC Fair to show residents the ropes

The Orange County Fair is holding a special session this week and next to help residents interested in submitting entries to competitions.

Staff members will take prospective entrants through the process of submitting things like giant pumpkins, prize quilts, a pot of five-alarm chili or anything else on the fair’s list of competitions, which can be found at ocfair.com/competitions, for consideration for awards.

The sessions will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Monday and Tuesday in the Silo Building.

Parking and admission are free.
