Interfaith Council hosts event

Dr. Adam Kendall will be speaking about “Faith and Ethics at the End of Life” at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Hoag Hospital Conference Center lower campus, rooms 1 and 2, 1 Hoag Drive, in Newport Beach.

The lecture is a program targeted at clergy, lay counselors and professionals in the medical field, and it focuses on the conflicts between religious faith and medical procedures in terminally ill patients. The event is hosted by the Newport-Mesa-Irvine Interfaith Council, a group of congregations from different backgrounds that organize events to promote religious tolerance and respect through activities that generate interaction between the different groups.

The event will start with a reception at 11:45 a.m. followed by a luncheon at noon, with the program starting at 12:35 p.m. The cost, including lunch, is $10 with a reservation and $12 without. For reservations, e-mail [email protected].
