IRVINE — UC Irvine received an at-large berth into the NCAA regionals.
The Anteaters are the No. 9 seed in the regional at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, Calif, May 14-16.
It’s the eighth regional appearance in nine seasons for UCI.

IRVINE — Freshman Charles Jock and junior Alisha Misiaita were individual winners for UC Irvine at the two-day event that concluded Sunday at Anteater Stadium.
Jock won the men’s 800 meters in 1 minute, 48.73 seconds. He also was on the winning 1,600 relay, passing three rivals on the anchor leg.
Misiaita won the women’s shot put with a mark of 46 feet, 10 1/4 inches.
UCI senior Kendall Bruton qualified for the NCAA West Regional in the 3,000 women’s steeplechase Saturday night. She finished third in 10:44.77, becoming the eighth Anteater to qualify for the regional in Eugene, Ore., May 29-30.
