Corona del Mar High senior Paige Polizois has committed to play tennis at Hofstra University on Long Island, N.Y.
Poizois earned a half scholarship to play tennis at the Division I program.
She was a part of two CIF Southern Section championship teams. She began her high school career at Laguna Beach High, which won a CIF title when she was a freshman. As a sophomore, Polizois transferred to CdM. She sat out most of the season with an arm injury on the undefeated 28-0 CdM team.
Her junior year was highlighted with an appearance in the girls’ doubles division semifinals of the CIF Individuals, as she partnered with Danielle Kaiden.
Polizois helped lead CdM to a regular-season record of 60-4 in her three years. In her junior and senior years CdM advanced to the CIF title match, losing to Dana Hills both years.
