Career day to provide tips for finding employment

A free career day Monday at UCI will focus on getting a job out of college despite high unemployment numbers and stiff competition.

“Charting your Career Path” aims to teach undergraduates and recent college graduates from any institution how to make a job search more fruitful.

The seminar begins at 5 p.m. at the university’s Student Center with a keynote speech by MBA and UCI Extension instructor Cynthia Stackpole, followed by a series of smaller group sessions.

The eight sessions will explore job hunting in specific industries with representatives in those fields.
