Beverly Irene (Bjork) Otto of

Mission Viejo, CA, passed away

peacefully on April 20, 2009,

surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Des Moines, IA,

on August 26, 1931, and came

to CA in 1952. She worked for

more than twenty years at the

UCI Medical Center until her

retirement in 1992, and was a

member of P.E.O. She has been active as a deacon at St.

Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach where

she and her husband attended for 37 years. She is survived

by her husband of 47 years, Richard H. Otto, her son Peter

(Naomi) Reed of Palmdale, California, and daughters

Rhonda (Michael) Cassidy of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lisa

(Scott) Thompson of Lincoln, CA. She is also survived by

nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, and

her sister Carol (Jim) Donovan of Des Moines, IA. She was

preceded in death by her son Daniel Reed and grandson

Caleb Cassidy. Visitation will be available at Pacific View

Memorial Park, Newport Beach, on Sunday, April 26,

between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. A memorial service will be

held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Monday, April

27, at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St.

Andrew’s Deacon Fund, 600 St. Andrews Rd, Newport

Beach, CA 92663, in Bev’s name.
