Orange County Informal Property Tax Review Closes April 30: Do Not Miss Out on Easy Way to Save Money

On April 30, the Orange County Assessors Office will close the informal property tax appeal reviews. CA Property Tax Savers, an online service provider which helps California homeowners quickly and accurately assess the value of their homes and determine whether or not they are eligible for a property tax reduction, wants Orange County residents to know that by not submitting their informal tax appeal by the deadline, they may leave hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on the table.
“Most homeowners are not aware of the option to request an informal review, yet almost every county makes this available,” said Cornell Beans, co-founder of CA Property Tax Savers. “It is unfortunate that many homeowners are unaware that there is an informal option available to them; and that the process is much simpler, involves less of their time and can yield quicker results than the formal appeal.”
The entire state of California has seen a dramatic decrease in home values. By utilizing the informal review process many Orange County residents may be able to have their property taxes temporarily reduced, before taking the more drastic and daunting step of making a formal appeal and presentation in front of the appeals board.
CA Property Tax Savers educates consumers that the informal process will provide the most expeditious means of appealing a property’s assessed value for a number of reasons:
· It’s as Easy as 1, 2, 3: The informal review requires: 1) the completion of one form, 2) submitted in time to meet the deadline, 3) including three comps.
· You Can Do it in Your Pajamas: To complete the informal review, a completed form and comps can be mailed to the county assessor’s office, whereas the formal process may require that the homeowner presents the case to an official panel.
· There’s a Plan B: If after submitting the informal review consumers don’t receive the assessed value they are looking for, they have the option to formally appeal in July to the Board of Appeals.
“We have found that homeowners throughout California have a misconception that the property tax appeals process is too complicated and difficult to complete,” said co-founder of CA Property Tax Savers Scott Daniel. “While the formal appeal can be quite tedious, we want to show consumers how simple the informal process is to complete, especially when they utilize the easy three-step system available at CAPropertyTaxSavers.com.”
In addition to educating consumers about the informal appeals process, Beans and Daniel offer other helpful resources on the Web site, www.CAPropertyTaxSavers.com, including a frequently asked questions section and glossary of important terms. The site also features a Quick Analysis tool, which shows homeowners in seconds if their property’s current market value justifies an appeal. In addition, visitors will find a complete Personalized Property Tax Appeal Kit available to maximize appeal opportunities with pinpoint accuracy. This easy-to-maneuver, three-step system streamlines an otherwise difficult and time-consuming process, and provides consumers with the best, most comprehensive comparables data, provided in the proper forms and format each of California’s 58 individual counties require, along with accurate information regarding the deadlines and processes unique to every region. The company’s cost-effective system offers a superior formula for safeguarding against rejected appeals – providing homeowners the best possible chances of success.
