Church provides schools with baskets

Laguna Presbyterian Church’s outreach committee sponsored an Easter basket project to purchase supplies for the schools of Camp Pendleton Marine families.

Donations from church members and our community enabled committee members, including Leigh Wilkerson and Rick Shoemaker to purchase and deliver items requested by teachers and students.

The base schools are located in the Fallbrook School District, where teachers must purchase school supplies with their own money or students do without.

Laguna Presbyterian has partnered with the San Clemente Military Family Outreach group to raise funds to encourage and support Marine families.

Many Pendleton Marines have served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
