Desalination group to hold town hall meeting

Residents 4 Responsible Desalination will hold its Spring Town Hall Meeting from 7 to 8:45 p.m. May 13 at Eader Elementary School, 9291 Banning St.
Guest speakers will include former Mayor Debbie Cook, who will discuss initiatives to build a self-sustaining economy, and the city’s new administrator, Fred Wilson, who will discuss the city’s fiscal and physical health.
In addition, the Public Works Department will give a presentation on the city’s water conservation programs.
The town hall also will offer updates on the Poseidon desalination project; admission is free, and includes coffee (bring a cup) and cookies.
