RESTAURANT ROUNDUP:

A nun, a rabbi and a penguin walk into a bar and the bartender says, “What is this? A joke?”

OK, that’s my favorite bar joke. What’s yours? If you’ve got a good one send it to Mona Shah from the Orange County Restaurant Assn. at [email protected] and you could win a $50 gift card to a local eatery. It’s part of the fun of the association’s Happy Hour Week, which ends Saturday.

Several Newport-Mesa restaurants are participating in Happy Hour Week, which offers a variety of cocktails, and even so-called non-alcoholic mocktails, at discount prices. To find out more, go to happyhourweek.com.

By the way, if they’re left of R-rated I’ll post the best ones on my blog, dailypilot.com/dailyblogger/panderson.
