Big West Challenge Cup
FULLERTON — The UC Irvine women’s team won the title Friday at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Track Complex.
UCI finished with 194.50 points, Fullerton was second with 167.50.
UCI’s Samantha Costantini was a double winner, capturing the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 15.94 seconds and the 1500 in 4:35.90.
Alisha Misiaita won the shot put for the fourth time this season with a mark of 50 feet, 8 3/4 inches as she went over 50 feet for the third straight week.
She placed fourth in the discus throw at 140-0 as teammate Amber Sangster was third at 146-10.
Other first-place finishes for UCI came from Madeline Leduc in the triple jump at 38-2 and Jenny Lee in the javelin throw at 118-11 as well as the 4x400 relay in 3:49.70.
Sanmisola George finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 12.03, ninth-best in UCI history. She was fourth in the 200 in 24.86.
Lauren Collins placed second in the javelin throw (116-11), the high jump (5-7) and the long jump (18-1 ¾), and she was third in the 100-meter hurdles (14.50).
Shelby Pock also recorded a pair of second-place finishes in the 800 meters (2:16.98) and the 1500 meters (4:37.76). Golde Ibia was second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.16 and Laura Olvera finished second in the 3,000 meters (9:59.61).
Lauren Chramosta was third in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:40.7 as she improved on her No. 2 time in UCI history.
The Anteater men’s team finished third with 167 points. Long Beach State was first with 209 points.
The Anteaters’ Matt Lahti won the hammer throw with a lifetime-best mark of 203-0 for the third-best showing in school history and Julian Eison won the high jump at 6-10 3/4 .
Charles Jock won the 400 meters in 48.25 with George Hernandez (48.62) and Oliver Plattner (48.67) finishing second and third, respectively.
Napoleon Greene was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.94.
UCI also captured the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.17 and the 4x400 relay in 3:14.05.
