Huntington Beach High School senior Samantha Bullat has been named a President’s Scholar and awarded a full scholarship to California State University Channel Islands.
The school’s President’s Scholars Program provides scholarships to two incoming freshmen who have distinguished themselves academically and who have demonstrated outstanding character. The scholars will participate actively with the president in campus and community events throughout the year.
Samantha, 18, is part of the Academy for Performing Arts. She has a 4.33 GPA, is president of the campus’ Amnesty International club, and is a member of the Surf City Singers group. In February, she was named second runner-up in the Miss Huntington Beach scholarship pageant.
Samantha will pursue a degree in history and a teaching credential and minor in performing arts. She is the daughter of Kevin and Debbie Bullat.
