Starting next month, Costa Mesa-based West Coast University will start classes for its new dental hygiene program.
West Coast University is one of four in the state to offer a bachelor’s of science degree in dental hygiene and the only one in Orange County. Classes for the 33-month program begin in April.
“This program launches at a time when, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics, dental hygiene is one of the nation’s fastest-growing professions, with above-average job growth predicted through 2014,” said Chairwoman Debi Gerger.
West Coast University will offer the program year-round.
