Jacquelyn Watson
May 27, 1928 – March 10, 2009
Jacquelyn Watson, “Jackie” as she was
known to her friends and family passed
away peacefully on March 10, 2009
in Sierra Madre, CA. Jackie leaves
behind her daughter, Sandi Thomas
of Monrovia, her son and daughter in
law, Dusty and Debby Watson of Costa Mesa, her brother, Bill
Butler of Stockton, and her three granddaughters, Alex, Kayti
and Jessica along with many friends.
Jackie was a long time resident of Balboa, CA and friends
and family will always remember her love of the beach and all
things tropical. Her house was always surrounded by cascading
plants and bright flowers that she so loved and nurtured. She
loved walking her dog each day along the sidewalk on Balboa
Boulevard or driving her red Mercedes (always with the top
down), Frank Sinatra playing on the radio.
Jackie loved people, and never failed to make a stranger her
friend. She loved her kids fiercely and was always the first to say
“I love you” each time we would part. We will miss her always,
but will remember her loving, free spirit and vibrant ways for
the rest of our lives.
Services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.,
Mountain View Cemetery, 2400 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Alta
Dena, CA. A celebration of her life will follow in Sierra Madre
at the home of friends located at 100 Suffolk, Sierra Madre.
