Local bands nominated for music awards

Several local bands and musicians have been nominated for Orange County Music Awards this year, including Huntington Beach’s the Offspring, TSOL, the Fallen Stars, Avenged Sevenfold and Matt Costa.

Awards night will begin at 8 p.m. April 4, at the Grove of Anaheim, and many of the nominated artists will perform.

Other Huntington Beach nominees include: Venus Infers, Color Theory, the Eliminators, the Mai Tais, Humanlab and the Dirty Heads.

Since February this year, the OC Music Awards have been organizing weekly showcases for nominated bands and artists. Showcases will continue till the final awards night. For more information on the award night and weekly showcase details, go to www.ocmusicawards.com.
