PALOS VERDES — Hillary Bush scored six goals and had one assist for the Sea Kings in the nonleague game Wednesday.
Adriane Knezevic and Ally Brahs added two goals each, while Amy Youngman had one goal and three assists for CdM (2-1).

Costa Mesa 10, Sage Hill 0
COSTA MESA — The Mustangs mercy-ruled a Newport-Mesa opponent for the second straight day, as junior Kira Mitani allowed just one hit in six shutout innings.
Mitani, who also had two doubles and two RBIs, struck out 11 Lightning batters and walked none.
Sophomore Alosina Skipps added two doubles, and sophomore Sami Feinstein was four for four with a double for Costa Mesa (3-2).
Vanessa Castro, Alex Kronhfeldt and Tamy Cerrato each added two hits for Mesa, which plays at Newport Harbor on Friday.

CORONA DEL MAR — Weston Nielsen had 22 kills and three digs to help CdM win its season opener, 25-19, 25-20, 27-29, 25-22 Wednesday.
Tyler Haly (nine kills and five blocks), Dylan Davis (19 kills) and Connor Bannan (52 assists) also contributed to the win for CdM (1-0).

COSTA MESA — George Martin won the 1,600 meters in 4 minutes, 4:54 seconds and also took first in the 3,200 in 11:31 for the Eagles in the nonlegue meet Wednesday.
Estancia’s David Perez won the shot put (35 feet, 9 1/2 inches) and discus (108-0).

COSTA MESA — Erica Garcia won the 1,600 meters in 5:52 and took first in the 3,200 in 12:56 for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Wednesday.
Diane Guido also won two events, taking first in the 100 in 13.6 seconds and 200 in 28.4. Jennifer Johnston won the long jump (14-11 1/2 ) and 300 hurdles in 54.7.

CORONA DEL MAR — Senior Chris Damion swept in singles 6-2, 6-0, 6-1, to improve to 11-0 for the Sea Kings after the nonleague match Wednesday.
The Sea Kings improved to 2-2, while Estancia dropped to 0-3.
BOYS’ SWIMMING
Estancia 51, Sage Hill 41
COSTA MESA — Frankie Gonzalez, Wes Barloon and Conner Graham won one event each and were a part of two winning relays for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Wednesday.
Gonzalez won the 200-yard freestyle (2:19.56), Barloon the 200 individual medley (2:25.60), Graham the 100 breaststroke (1:16.08). The trio won the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay with Matthew Thome.
Sage Hill’s Jake Blitzer won the 100 butterfly and 50 free, and was a part of the victorious 400 free relay.
