Soroptimists raise $18,000 for charities

Soroptimist International Huntington Beach raised $18,000 for local and international charities at its 13th annual Home for the Holidays event Dec. 11.

“Even in these challenging economic times when we had fewer businesses purchase tables, our fundraising exceeded expectations and generated increased donations per person. We are grateful to the generous support of our members and the community, especially our major sponsor, Rainbow Disposal,” said Chapter President Denise Sonnenberg.
