BRIEFLY IN WORSHIP
Redemption Church begins services
The New Year brings a new church to Laguna Beach. Redemption Church, a nondenominational upstart, opened its doors for the first time at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Services will be at 1085 Laguna Canyon Road (at the Boys & Girls Club in the Sawdust parking lot). Nursery and Kids Ministry is available for infants through elementary aged children.
Redemption Church is a community of people who follow Jesus because of His grace and love.
They believe God is changing and restoring the world through Jesus and feel compelled to find their place in that.
For more information call pastor Phil Wood at Redemption Church, (949) 715-4698 or visit www.redemption community.org.
Presbyterian Dad’s group meets
The Dad’s Group of Laguna Presbyterian Church welcomes all dads interested in hearing father and son Keith and Tory Thomas tell the difference God has made in their lives.
They’ll meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Blue House, on Third Street, behind the church at 415 Forest Ave.
Due to the construction fence in the parking lot, enter from the alley next to the tan building. Bring $7 for a sandwich and salad.
