POMONA — Junior Elvis Whitelow finished with 11 points and seven rebounds in the Lions’ nonconference game Tuesday.

Juniors Dennis Heenan and Gregory Scott contributed seven points each for Vanguard (0-3), which trailed 29-16 at halftime. Cal Poly outrebounded Vanguard, 48-24.

The Lions play host to Holy Names Friday at 7:30 p.m.
