SUN CITY — Sophomore Casey Gomez scored 16 points to lead the Pirates, who suffered their first loss of the season in nonconference action Thursday night.

Freshmen Chelsea Alfafara and Jenna Lujan scored 10 points each for Orange Coast (3-1), which trailed, 30-20, at the half.

The Pirates will play at San Diego Mesa Wednesay at 6 p.m.
