Choir sings for Down’s syndrome organization

The Orange County Women’s Chorus will perform an angel-themed program titled “Angels in the O.C.” at 7 p.m. Saturday at Newport Harbor Lutheran Church, 798 Dover Drive.

Ranging from Renaissance motets and arrangements of “Ave Maria” to more modern pieces, the concert will explore the role angels play in music. The concert is part of a partnership the choir has formed with Team up for Down Syndrome, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with Down’s syndrome and their families.
