Calling all H.B. contestants

The 2009 Miss Huntington Beach Scholarship Pageant committee is seeking applications.

Women 17 to 24 years old who work or live in Huntington Beach can apply.

Applications must be turned in before the first orientation meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at Old World Restaurant, 7561 Center Ave., No. 49, Huntington Beach. The pageant will be Feb. 8 at the same location.

Up to $1,000 in scholarships is up for grabs. The new Miss Huntington Beach will compete for the title of Miss California in June. For more information, go to www.misshb.org or call Pamela Alagata, executive director, at (714) 654-9219.
