UCI program to discuss weight management
Have you had gastric bypass surgery and noticed your weight loss is slowing down?
Is your meal plan post-surgery boring you or are you worried you might regain the weight?
UCI is offering a program for people who’ve recently undergone a gastric bypass or lap-band surgery and are looking for some tips on how to maximize their results.
The UCI Weight Management Program, from Oct. 8 to Nov. 12, is offering people at least three months off their surgery to focus on lifestyle changes that can offer a long-term plan to weight management.
With a registered dietitian at the helm, people in the program will be shown a number of tools and skills they can use to maintain a healthy lifestyle after their surgery.
Classes are from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. in the Gottschalk Medical Plaza on the UCI Campus.
The six-week program costs $150.
