NEWPORT BEACH — Freshman Katie Vick swept at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of seniors Jacklyn Smrecek and Isa-Marie Taskinen also swept to pace the Lightning in the nonleague match Monday at Newport Harbor.

Sage Hill, playing without top junior Julia Blakely (strained calf), improved to 4-0.

Rian Billingsley won two sets in singles for the Lightning, for whom the doubles tandem of Sarah Choi and Laney Tucker also won two sets.

Newport Harbor is now 2-1.

The Lightning return to action today, playing host to Los Alamitos at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club.

Ayala Tournament

CHINO HILLS — Junior Lindsey Hanna shot eight-over-par 82 over 18 holes to lead Newport Harbor High to fifth place among 25 teams Monday at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club.

Junior Lauren Draganza (83), Morgan Moody (88), Ali Thomas (88), and Tiffany Kane (90) rounded out the scorers for the Sailors.
