Chronic Cantina aims to benefit disaster victims
When Keith Scheinberg, the co-owner of Chronic Cantina, set up Sunday’s benefit for Music for Relief, Gustav and Ike hadn’t started brewing yet — but because he figured September was usually hurricane season, he opted to devote his last charity show of the summer to natural disaster relief.
With thousands of people fleeing the recent storms, the restaurant at Triangle Square plans to host an all-day benefit for Music for Relief, a charity started by members of the band Linkin Park that provides aid to victims of natural disasters.
The benefit is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. in Chronic Cantina’s courtyard, with live performances by Good Guys in Black, ODP, Vendetta Kings and other bands, as well as DJs, fashion shows and a raffle.
“This is going to be probably the biggest charity event we’ve thrown yet,” Scheinberg said.
Admission is $10. Call Sarah Roughan at (949) 646-0227.
