RESTAURANT ROUNDUP:

The summer is nearing its end, and it’ll be the last chance for customers at the Wildfish Seafood Grille in Newport Beach to sample the restaurant’s selection of summer-inspired mojitos.
The drink comes in multiple varieties: raspberry, citrus, champagne, orange and the classic style. The mojitos won’t be around for long, though, as the restaurant will be offering them for the last time this summer on Friday.
Wildfish’s happy hour menu runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. daily. The menu features items such as calamari, crab cake and Fuji apple salad, among others.
Wildfish also encourages its customers to come back for more — guests with a table check of $150 or more earn a $50 gift certificate for their next visit.
Tuscan wine tasting at Five Crowns in CdM
It’s a little late in the summer to be traveling to Italy, but Five Crowns in Corona del Mar will be doing its best to bring the flavor of Tuscany to the local area. The restaurant will be holding a dinner featuring the wines of Tuscany at 7 p.m. Sept. 23.
Pre-paid reservations for the event are required and cost $85 per person; tax and gratuity are included in that figure.
The list of Tuscan wines will include items like the 2006 Solosole Vermentino, the 2003 La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino and the 2004 Tiziano Gold Chianti Classico.
Five Crowns is at 3801 E. Coast Hwy., Corona del Mar. For reservations, call (949) 760-0331 or visit www.lawrysonline.com/fivecrowns_gen_info.asp.
