CMHS Cheerleaders dominate at summer camp

The Costa Mesa High School Cheer squads just returned back from their summer camp at UCSB. Both squads learned new materials, challenged themselves on harder stunting and bonded as a new team. The girls out did themselves and dominated the competition in the evaluations and competitions.
The varsity team consisting of Captains: Brianna Endo, Lauren Borboa and Ally Krikorian, Chelsea Liebel, Sara Tith, Teagan La Bare, Bree La Bare, Bree Arellano, Jenny Huebner, Cierra Fullmer, Kelsey Finch, Katie Weber, Krystal Fisk, Charlene Hack, Elainne Huaong, Patricia Cruz and Yazzy Tyler Won CAMP CHAMPS, all superior ribbons on their evaluations, LArge Superior Trophy, spirit sticks every night, top banana and the special spirit stick called the Smooth Moves Stick that only 5 schools were awarded throughout the entire nation this summer at UCA camps.
Several Individuals also received many awards-- Ally Krikorian won the camp jump off, received 2 dancing diva awards. Lauren Borboa received a dancing diva award also. 6 girls were chosen as ALL-STARS: Brianna Endo, LAuren Borboa, Ally Krikorian, Yazzy Tyler , Tyler Davis and Caitlyn Brock. Also an extreme honor was that Brianna Endo, LAuren Borboa and Ally Krikorian all were asked to try-out to become UCA camp instructors.
The Junior Varsity team consisting of captains: Tyler Davis and Caitlyn Brock and Brooke Wanbaugh, Taylor Thompson, Summer Rudis, Leanna Pham-vu, Brandi Birdsong, McKenna Ewing, Holly Mamola, Kerlly Castellano, Alyssa Hatton, Andrea Jones. They also won CAMP CHAMPS in their division and Superior Trophy as well as superior ribbons.
Both teams qualified to cheer at the Capitol one Bowl in Florida and the Pro Bowl in Hawaii--- the school and community are very proud of our CMHS SUPERSTARS!
