Highway project’s final stages to cause delays
There will be delays on Coast Highway today as construction crews will continue work on West Coast Highway between Dover Drive and the bay bridge, city officials said.
All-American Asphalt will raise manhole covers and utility valves as the final work for the repaving project that was done earlier this year.
The work will be done between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., causing lane closures and slowing traffic on the highway. City officials are advising drivers to take alternate routes, if possible.
The construction company was working on the highway Wednesday, closing eastbound lanes in the area for the same reasons. Caltrans has notified the city the work will be finished this afternoon.
